Regular Season Round 7: Franca - Minas 83-66

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Vivo/Franca as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Vivo/Franca defeated 5th ranked Minas in Sao Paulo 83-66. Vivo/Franca players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for international swingman Didi Louzada (195-99) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). International forward Lucas Silva (209-95) helped adding 17 points. At the losing side Alexandre de-Souza (202-92) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Wesley Ferreira (201-95) scored 15 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Vivo/Franca. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Minas at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Mogi. Minas will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Vivo/Franca will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Mogi at Mogi das Cruzes.
