Regular Season Round 13: Yokohama BC - San-en 90-97

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked San-en NeoPhoenix's (5-8) road victory over 6th ranked Yokohama BC (3-10) 97-90 on Wednesday. San-en NeoPhoenix looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Quite impressive performance for American forward Robert Dozier (206-85, college: Memphis) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import forward William McDonald (206-79, college: Grambling St.) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!) for the winners. American forward Javon McCrea (201-92, college: Buffalo) answered with 32 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Takuya Kawamura (193-86) added 18 points and 7 assists in the effort for Yokohama BC. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Yokohama BC's coach Thomas Wisman tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. San-en NeoPhoenix maintains fifth place with 5-8 record which they share with defeated Yokohama BC. Yokohama BC lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. San-en NeoPhoenix will face higher ranked Kyoto Hannar. (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yokohama BC will play against Osaka Evessa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
