No shocking result in a game when third ranked Toyota Alvark (9-4) crushed 5th ranked Akita Happinets (3-10) in Tokyo 100-55 on Wednesday. Toyota Alvark made 26-of-27 free shots (96.3 percent) during the game, while Akita Happinets only scored ten points from the stripe. Toyota Alvark forced 21 Akita Happinets turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a very good performance for international point guard Takumi Saito (172-95) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 assists. American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. Bahamas power forward Kadeem Coleby (206-89, college: Wichita St.) answered with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks and point guard Takuya Nakayama (182-94) added 16 points in the effort for Akita Happinets. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Niigata Albirex. Akita Happinets lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keep the fifth place with ten games lost. Toyota Alvark will have a break next round. Akita Happinets will play on the road against the league's leader Diamond Dolphins (#1) in Nagoya and hope to win that game.
