Regular Season Round 8: Xinjiang - Bayi 69-78

WCBA top team - Bayi Kylin (8-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Magic Deer (4-4) in Urumqi 78-69. The winners were led by the former international swingman Jiabao Jin (184-93) who scored that evening 19 points and 5 rebounds and international Mengran Sun (197-92) supported her with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Bayi Kylin players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by international Lili Wang (170-92) did not help to save the game for Magic Deer. Lana Di added 15 points for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bayi Kylin have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record, which they share with Guangdong. Magic Deer at the other side keeps the seventh place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Bayi Kylin will play against league's second-placed Vermilion Birds in Dongguan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Magic Deer will play on the road against Fujian Nanan (#16) in Putian and hopes to get back on the winning track.
