Regular Season Round 8: Sokol Lancut - Pogon Prudnik 98-89

1Liga top team - Sokol Lancut (7-0) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked Pogon Prudnik (3-5) 98-89. Pogon Prudnik was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by power forward Maciej Klima (203-82) who scored that evening 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and point guard Kamil Zywert (185-96) supported him with 16 points. Even 21 points by guard Jakub Krawczyk (191-91) did not help to save the game for Pogon Prudnik. Tomasz Prostak (188-88, agency: Octagon Europe) added 18 points for the guests. Five Sokol Lancut and four Pogon Prudnik players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sokol Lancut have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Pogon Prudnik at the other side dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Sokol Lancut will play against Kotwica (#15) in Kolobrzeg in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pogon Prudnik will play at home against Polfarmex (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
