Everything went according to plan in Qingdao where fourth ranked Flying Leopards (6-2) outscored bottom-ranked Eagles (1-7) 136-117 on Wednesday. Flying Leopards shot 60.2 percent from the field and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Flying Leopards had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 51.3 percentage. Flying Leopards looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Eagles' players. Eagles were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) who helped to win the game recording 39 points (!!!) and 4 assists and forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU, agency: IPZ) who added 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. Point guard Jonathan Gibson (188-87, college: N.Mexico St.) responded with 48 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and power forward Dakari Johnson (213-95, college: Kentucky) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Shanghai S. Eagles lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Flying Leopards will face Jilin Tigers (#13) in Changchun in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Eagles will play at home against the league's second-placed Golden Bulls (#2) and hope to win that game.
