Center Thiago Mathias (208-89, college: N.Mexico JC) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Douglas Kurtz (213-87, college: Hawaii) answered with 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American point guard Farad Cobb (183-93, college: Cincinnati) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for SKY/Basquete. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Joinville maintains ninth place with 3-4 record. Loser SKY/Basquete keeps the thirteenth position with six games lost. Joinville will face Paschoalotto/Bauru (#10) at home in the next round. SKY/Basquete will play against Corinthians in Sao Paulo and hope to win that game.
