Regular Season Round 6: H.Tel-Aviv - Bnei Hertzeliya 76-77

Date: November 8, 2018
A very close game took place in Tel-Aviv between Bnei Hasharon and Hapoel Tel-Aviv. Tenth ranked Bnei Hasharon (2-4) got a very close victory on the road over 11th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (1-5). Bnei Hasharon managed to escape with a 1-point win 77-76 on Thursday evening. Bnei Hasharon had a 31-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American-Georgian guard Michael Dixon (186-90, college: Memphis, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 11 points, 7 rebounds and 15 assists to lead the effort and American forward Jeff Adrien (201-86, college: Connecticut) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by Nigerian power forward Alade Aminu (207-87, college: Georgia Tech) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. International Tomer Ginat (202-94, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 16 points and 7 rebounds. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bnei Hasharon moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Ironi Nahariya. Hapoel Tel-Aviv lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with five games lost. They share it with Ironi Nes-Ziona. Bnei Hasharon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Maccabi Rishon (#7) in Rishon Le-Zion and hope to win that game.
