Regular Season Round 6: Porvoon Tarmo - HBA-Marsky 64-106

Bottom-ranked Porvoon Tarmo is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to eighth ranked HBA-Marsky (3-3) 106-64. The game without a history. HBA-Marsky led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Porvoon Tarmo's 42. HBA-Marsky forced 27 Porvoon Tarmo turnovers and outrebounded Porvoon Tarmo 44-23 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. HBA-Marsky players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Porvoon Tarmo's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was Perttu Blomgren (193-1) who scored 18 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Center Aleksi Liukko (211-99) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. Four HBA-Marsky players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Otso Laakkonen (200-93) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and forward Elias Lahdensuu (193-98) added 13 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. HBA-Marsky moved-up to seventh place in Division. Porvoon Tarmo at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. HBA-Marsky's next round opponent will be Korikouvot (#9) in Kouvola.
