There was an upset when higher ranked Minas (4-3) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (3-5) 81-68 on Thursday. Paschoalotto/Bauru made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Quite impressive performance for the former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds. International power forward Lucas Mariano (208-93) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. The former international point guard George-Yeye Torres (188-91) answered with 18 points and American Che Bob (198, college: Colorado St.) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Minas. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Paschoalotto/Bauru moved-up to tenth place. Loser Minas keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Paschoalotto/Bauru will face higher ranked Joinville (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
