There was a small surprise in Santa Fe where sixth ranked Union SF (2-3) won against 3rd ranked Deportivo Norte (4-4) 91-84 on Thursday. Naturalized Italian swingman Patricio Rodriguez (191-84) fired 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Emiliano Correa (188-91) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Union SF players scored in double figures. Union SF's coach Juan Siemienczuck allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Rodrigo Gallegos produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists and point guard Lautaro Fraga (184-92) added 24 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Union SF maintains sixth position with 2-3 record, which they share with La Union. Loser Deportivo Norte keeps the third place with four games lost. Union SF will face Sportivo America (#7) in Rosario in the next round. Deportivo Norte will play on the road against the league's second-placed Barrio Parque (#2) in Cordoba and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
