Bottom-ranked Sydney Uni Flames is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to fourth ranked Boomers (5-3) 96-79 on Thursday evening. Boomers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international center Cayla George (192-89) nailed 27 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Stephanie Talbot (188-94) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. International center Alexandra Bunton (198-93) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Amanda Johnson added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Sydney Uni Flames in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Boomers moved-up to third place. Sydney Uni Flames lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. Boomers will meet at home Townsville Fire (#7) in the next round.
