There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Denain Voltaire (2-3) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Gries/Oberhoffen (2-3) 78-66 on Friday. Gries/Oberhoffen looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Spanish guard Xavier Forcada (193-88) stepped up and scored 15 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners and Lithuanian forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds. Power forward Jerome Cazenobe (205-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Marquis Addison (191-91, college: Missouri So., agency: Inception Sports) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds.
