Rather expected game when 10th ranked La Rochelle (4-6) was edged on the road by eighth ranked Toulouse (6-4) 71-69 on Friday. Naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-94) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Keonta Vernon (198-94, college: Grand Canyon) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Toulouse players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Algerian guard Faycal Sahraoui (186-79) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Guillaume Costentin (196-82) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Toulouse moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with 3 other teams. La Rochelle at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with six games lost. Toulouse will face Rueil (#10) at home in the next round where they are favorite. La Rochelle will play against JSA Bordeaux and hope to win that game.
