Regular Season Round 9: Inter Bratislava - Zilina 104-71

An interesting game for Inter Bratislava (6-1) which hosted in Bratislava second-best Zilina (5-3). First ranked Inter Bratislava had an easy win 104-71. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Zilina. Inter Bratislava shot 63.9 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. Inter Bratislava looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a good game for Serbian Nemanja Barac (194-90, agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. American point guard James Kinney (187-90, college: San Jose St.) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Oliver Vidin felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jakub Meress (200-96) answered with 22 points and American forward Deandre Dickson (206, college: W.Washington) added 17 points and 5 assists in the effort for Zilina. Inter Bratislava have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Zilina at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Iskra Svit and Levice. Inter Bratislava will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zilina will play on the road against Prievidza and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
