Regular Season Round 10: RAC Basket - Lourdes 89-91

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (3-7) edged on the road 10th ranked Rueil (4-6) 91-89 on Friday. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 26-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Maxence Claveau (194-94) scored 33 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Alexis Thomas (196-95) chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Senegalese guard Lamine Sambe (188-89) responded with 22 points and 5 assists and forward Vincent Fandelet (197-92) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Lourdes-Tarbes and five Rueil players scored in double figures. Lourdes-Tarbes maintains twelfth position in Group B with 3-7 record. Loser Rueil keeps the tenth place with six games lost. Lourdes-Tarbes will face league's second-placed STB Le Havre on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
