Rather expected game when 9th ranked Mursa (1-5) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Zagreb (4-2) 84-50 on Saturday. The game without a history. Zagreb led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 Mursa turnovers and outrebounded them 46-28 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Zagreb looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Anja Skara (188-91) had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Marijana Mamic (186-93) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Zagreb players scored in double figures. Zagreb's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was Petra Simunic (-93) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Petra Lovric (166-96) scored 13 points and 8 assists. Zagreb moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Pula C.Tours. Mursa at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth position with five games lost. Zagreb's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Zagreb to the arena ZKK Medvescak.
