Regular Season Round 8: Quintanar - Zentro Basket 91-76

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Quintanar (5-3) defeated at home 10th ranked Zentro Basket (3-5) 91-76 on Saturday. Quintanar dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Zentro Basket's 40. The best player for the winners was point guard Antonio Izquierdo (190-93) who scored 20 points and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Senegalese center Serigne Ndiaye (204-98) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Jorge-Jesus Alonso (193-97) produced 15 points and forward Hector Oceja (200-95) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Five Quintanar and four Zentro Basket players scored in double figures. Zentro Basket's coach Fernando Reborio gave the chance to play for ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quintanar moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with Tenerife Naut. Newly promoted Zentro Basket dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Quintanar will face bottom-ranked Pozuelo (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Zentro Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Madrid Estudiantes B.
