B League D3 top team - Koshigaya A. (11-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Kagoshima (1-11) in Renova 91-56. Koshigaya A. dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Kagoshima's 26. They outrebounded Kagoshima 49-29 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Koshigaya A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Luke Evans (203-91, college: Cal.Baptist) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Ryo Narumi (170-87) chipped in 25 points. Swingman Ibuki Fukuda (195-96) produced 9 points and 7 rebounds and Kiichi Kawakami (188-95) added 12 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Koshigaya A.. They maintain first place with 11-1 record, which they share with Tokyo Excel. Kagoshima lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 11 games lost. Koshigaya A. will meet Saitama Broncos (#4) on the road in the next round. Kagoshima will play against Tokyo Big Blue and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
