Regular Season Round 8: Easo - Univ.Burgos 45-67

There was no surprise in San Sebastian where 9th ranked Easo (1-4) was crushed by top-ranked Univ.Burgos (5-0) 67-45 on Saturday. Univ.Burgos outrebounded Easo 44-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized Angolan center Julio De-Assis (203-92) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Center Mario Tobar (200-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Center Inigo Sarasola (207-95) produced 8 points and 9 rebounds and forward Mikel Bango (195-2) added 10 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Univ.Burgos have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group A-A leader, which they share with Valle de Egues. Loser Easo dropped to the bottom place with four games lost. Univ.Burgos will face league's second-placed Valle de Egues in Olaz in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Easo will play on the road against La Fecha (#9) in Arroyo Encomienda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
