There was a minor upset when 6th ranked ViVe (2-4) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Tapiolan Honka (3-5) 74-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tapiolan Honka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tapiolan Honka outrebounded ViVe 47-31 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Sidney Cook (188-94, college: Virginia Tech) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 17 rebounds. Forward Alexyz Vaioletama (185-93, college: USC) helped adding 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side swingman Amy Griffin (183-96, college: La Salle, agency: LBM Management) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Tapiolan Honka moved-up to eighth place. Loser ViVe dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Tapiolan Honka will have a break next round. ViVe will play at home against Torpan Pojat (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
