Regular Season Round 8: Dobrodzien - MKS DG 2 97-90

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked MKS DG 2 (0-8) lost on the road to tenth ranked Dobrodzien (4-4) 97-90 on Saturday. Dobrodzien outrebounded MKS DG 2 64-31 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. MKS DG 2 was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Maciej Piszczek (203-96) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Michal Ciesla (188-81) contributed with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Point guard Radoslaw Chorab (191-0) replied with 27 points, 7 assists and 6 steals and forward Michal Batorski (200-88) added 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for MKS DG 2. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dobrodzien moved-up to seventh place in Group C, which they share with Zaglebie and Unia Tarnow. Loser MKS DG 2 still closes the standings with eight games lost. Dobrodzien will face Pogon RS (#12) in Ruda Slaska in the next round where they are favorite. MKS DG 2 will play at home against Przemysl and hopes to get finally their first victory.
