Regular Season Round 8: Zielona Gora 2 - Klodzko 66-94

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Zielona Gora 2 (1-6) was outleveled by second ranked Klodzko (7-1) in Nowa Sol 94-66 on Saturday. Klodzko outrebounded Zielona Gora 2 39-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Krzysztof Krajniewski (200-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Rafal Wojciechowski (192-85) contributed with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Klodzko players scored in double figures. Point guard Kacper Traczyk (186-98) replied with 18 points and 4 assists and guard Adam Bednarczyk (188-98) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Zielona Gora 2. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Klodzko have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group D leader. Zielona Gora 2 lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with six games lost. Klodzko will have a break next round. Zielona Gora 2 will play on the road against Katy Wroclawskie (#7) and hope to win that game.
