Very predictable result in Madrid where seventh ranked Tenerife Naut. (5-3) beat 15th ranked Estudio (1-6) 81-74 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Danish center Sami Eleraky (213-93, college: Pacific) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Senegalese power forward Serigne Niang (202-88) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Tenerife Naut. players scored in double figures. Point guard Juan Llorente (192-93) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and forward Eduardo Gomez (194-93) added 14 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tenerife Naut. moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with Quintanar. Estudio lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with six games lost. Tenerife Naut. will face Liceo Frances (#13) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Estudio will play at home against Aridane and hope to win that game.
