Regular Season Round 8: Rawia - Katy Wroclawskie 70-79

Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Katy Wroclawskie (4-4) defeated 11th ranked Rawia (1-6) in Rawicz 79-70 on Saturday. Katy Wroclawskie dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Rawia's 34. Point guard Michal Lipinski (185-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Center Wojciech Suprun (203-82) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Bartosz Zajac (195-91) replied with 9 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Szymon Maciolek (190-91) added 11 points and 5 assists in the effort for Rawia. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Katy Wroclawskie moved-up to seventh place in Group D. Loser Rawia keeps the eleventh position with six games lost. Katy Wroclawskie will face Zielona Gora 2 (#12) in Nowa Sol in the next round where they are favorite. Rawia will play on the road against Sudety in Jelenia Gora and hope to win that game.
