Regular Season Round 14: Fukushima - Kumamoto V. 100-86

The most important game in the last round took place in Fukushima between second ranked Kumamoto V. (10-4) and sixth ranked Fukushima (5-9) on Saturday night. Kumamoto V. was defeated by Fukushima on the road 86-100. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kumamoto V.. Fukushima looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fukushima made 7 blocks. Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) added 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Kumamoto V.Four Fukushima and five Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. Fukushima moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Aomori Watts. Kumamoto V. at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Toyotsu FE and Cyberdyne IR. Fukushima is again looking forward to face league's second-placed Kumamoto V. at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kumamoto V. will have a break next round.
