Regular Season Round 14: Yamagata - Nishinomiya S. 99-78

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Nishinomiya S.'s (3-11) road loss to fourth ranked Yamagata (6-8) 78-99 on Saturday. Yamagata shot 62.1 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Yamagata especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American-Irish swingman Will Hanley (201-90, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. American guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and his fellow American import center Randy White (203-67, college: Louisiana Tech) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Nishinomiya S.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Yamagata maintains fourth position with 6-8 record. Loser Nishinomiya S. keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. Yamagata will face again Nishinomiya S. (#5) in Hyogo in the next round.
