Regular Season Round 7: Bologna - Campobasso 48-52

Serie A2 top team - Campobasso (7-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Bologna (5-2) 52-48. It was a very good performance for Lithuanian power forward Laura Zelnyte (190-94) who helped to win the game recording 6 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Giulia Ciavarella (183-97) contributed with 14 points for the winners. The former international point guard Raelin D'Alie (168-87, college: Wisconsin, agency: LBM Management) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Alessandra Tava (183-91) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Bologna. Bologna's coach Giancarlo Giroldi tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Campobasso maintains first place in A2 with 7-0 record. Loser Bologna dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Campobasso will face Savonese (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Bologna will play against Faenza (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
