There was an upset when higher ranked Girona Basquet (4-3) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked La Roda (2-5) 76-58 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Jose Gonzalez (187-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Senegalese center Serigne Barro (208-95) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Andre Berry (203, college: Rhode Island) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and guard Sergi Costa (188-96) scored 13 points. Girona Basquet's coach let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. La Roda maintains tenth place in Silver with 2-5 record. Newly promoted Girona Basquet dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. La Roda will face Menorca (#11) in Mahon in the next round.
