Regular Season Round 6: ToPo Juniorit - Kristika Turku 87-107

An interesting game for Kristika Turku (5-1) which played road game in Helsinki against 4th ranked ToPo Juniorit (3-3). Third ranked Kristika Turku had an easy win 107-87. It looked good early as ToPo Juniorit took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kristika Turku had a 32-18 second period charge getting the lead and ToPo Juniorit was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 87-107. Kristika Turku made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 ToPo Juniorit turnovers. Forward Tomi Lommi (194-96) scored 25 points and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and Joona Tuomala (197-97) chipped in 24 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Kristika Turku players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Cameroonian forward Arsene Towa (191-81) with 26 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Miki Kuusisto (194-94) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. ToPo Juniorit's coach rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Kristika Turku moved-up to second place in Division. ToPo Juniorit at the other side dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
