Regular Season Round 7: Tezenis VER - Cagliari DA 89-69

Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Tezenis VER (3-4) outplayed 15th ranked Cagliari DA (1-6) in Verona 89-69 on Saturday. Tezenis VER looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American guard Terry Henderson (196-94, college: NC State) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. The former international point guard Andrea Amato (190-94) contributed with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Tezenis VER players scored in double figures. American point guard Anthony Miles (185-89, college: Lamar) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Justin Johnson (201-96, college: W.Kentucky) added 19 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Cagliari DA. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tezenis VER moved-up to ninth place in A2. Loser Cagliari DA dropped to the sixteenth position with six games lost. Tezenis VER will face Bakery PIA (#11) in Piacenza in the next round. Cagliari DA will play at home against A.Costa IM (#8) and hope to win that game.
