There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked ADBA (3-3) defeated on the road higher ranked Mataro Parc (3-3) 67-58 on Saturday. Swingman Virginia Saez (173-95) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Alicia Villegas (174-94) chipped in 10 points and 5 assists during the contest. ADBA's coach Juan Garcia used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Bolivian point guard Romina Rodriguez (167-92) with 17 points and center Olga Ruano (191-88) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. ADBA moved-up to seventh place in Group A, which they share with Lima-Horta and Mataro Parc. ADBA will have a break next round.
