Regular Season Round 8: Univ.Valladolid - Pas Pielagos 75-86

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Pas Pielagos (3-2) won against on the road 11th ranked Univ.Valladolid (1-4) 86-75 on Saturday. Pas Pielagos made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They also forced 22 Univ.Valladolid turnovers. Pas Pielagos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Albert Real (189-97) who scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Senegalese power forward Pape Seck (207-92, college: Simon Fraser) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Pas Pielagos players scored in double figures. Forward Mario Puebla (198-98) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Javier Burgoa (186-99) added 19 points respectively for the hosts. Univ.Valladolid's coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pas Pielagos moved-up to sixth place in Group A-A, which they share with Santurtzi and Gallofa. Loser Univ.Valladolid keeps the eleventh position with four games lost. Pas Pielagos will face Ordizia-Basoa (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Univ.Valladolid will play against Solares and hope to win that game.
