Regular Season Round 7: Varese Robur - Vigevano 84-74

Another exciting game was between eighth ranked Varese Robur and 4th placed Vigevano where host Varese Robur (4-2) won against Vigevano (4-3) 84-74. Varese Robur shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Federico Passerini (186-93) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Simone Ferrarese (184-87) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Patrizio Verri (196-88) answered with 17 points and Daniele-Mario Benzoni (195-80) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Vigevano. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vigevano's coach Paolo Piazza rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Varese Robur moved-up to fifth place in B which they share with defeated Vigevano. Newly promoted Vigevano dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Varese Robur will play against league's leader Omegna at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vigevano will play against Alba (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
