Leader Omegna delivered the sixth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked LTC Sangiorg. (4-3) 87-65. Omegna dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to LTC Sangiorg.'s 26. They outrebounded LTC Sangiorg. 43-24 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for point guard Alessandro Grande (182-94) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Marco Arrigoni (200-91, agency: Players Group) helped adding 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Omegna players scored in double figures. At the losing side Pietro Bocconcelli (190-98) responded with 14 points and Francesco Toso (202-96, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Omegna maintains first place in B with 6-1 record. Loser LTC Sangiorg. keeps the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with 5 other teams. Omegna will meet Varese Robur (#5) on the road in the next round. LTC Sangiorg. will play against Siena Virtus and hope to secure a win.
