Regular Season Round 7: Lugo - San Vendemiano 92-93

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Lugo (0-7) was edged at home by ninth ranked San Vendemiano (4-3) 93-92 on Saturday. Lugo was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Marco Perin (185-93) fired 22 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Marco Mossi (199-88) chipped in 23 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Matteo Galassi (187-98) produced 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and point guard Antonio Brighi (190-96) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five San Vendemiano and four Lugo players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. San Vendemiano moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams. Lugo lost their seventh game in a row. They still close the standings with seven games lost. San Vendemiano will face Reggio Emilia (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lugo will play against Olginate and hopes to get finally their first victory.
