Everything went according to plan in Avila where seventh ranked Fontedoso Carrefour (4-3) beat 10th ranked Tormes (2-5) 79-68 on Saturday. Fontedoso Carrefour dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tormes' 28. It was a great evening for Venezuelan point guard Harold Cazorla (175-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. American-Vincentian forward Phillip Lawrence (201-94, college: Marist, agency: Duran International) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. Five Fontedoso Carrefour players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Lucas Antunez (190-95, college: Northeastern St.) responded with 13 points and 4 assists and Bosnian forward Njegos Sikiras (205-99) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Tormes' coach Jandro Zubillaga let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Fontedoso Carrefour moved-up to third place in Silver. Newly promoted Tormes keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Fontedoso Carrefour will face Navarra (#6) in Pamplona in the next round. Tormes will play at home against the league's second-placed Zamorano (#2) and hope to win that game.
