Regular Season Round 11: Soles - Aaguacateros 90-102

An interesting game for Aaguacateros (8-2) which played road game in Mexicali against 3rd placed Soles (5-5). First ranked Aaguacateros managed to get a 12-point victory 102-90. Aaguacateros made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Aaguacateros outrebounded Soles 34-21 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Arim Solares (202-83) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American point guard Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSU Bakersfield) accounted for 29 points for the winning side. Five Aaguacateros players scored in double figures. American forward Stacy Davis (198-94, college: Pepperdine) came up with 26 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Luke Martinez (193-90, college: Wyoming, agency: Pro Sports) added 13 points, 6 assists and 6 steals respectively for Soles in the defeat. Soles' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aaguacateros maintains first place with 8-2 record, which they share with Fuerza Regia and Capitanes. Loser Soles keep the third position with five games lost. They share it with Panteras and Laguneros. Aaguacateros will meet at home league's second-placed Capitanes in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Soles will play against Angeles in Puebla and hope to secure a win.
