No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Hapoel Eilat (3-3) crushed at home bottom-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (1-5) 105-85 on Sunday. Hapoel Eilat dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Ironi Nes-Ziona's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American guard Elijah Bryant (196-95, college: BYU, agency: Pensack Sports) notched 24 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Cameroonian-American forward JP Tokoto (198-93, college: N.Carolina) supported him with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Four Hapoel Eilat players scored in double figures. Hapoel Eilat's coach Sharon Drucker allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 27 points by American swingman Daequan Cook (196-87, college: Ohio St.) did not help to save the game for Ironi Nes-Ziona. His fellow American import swingman Chris Dowe (191-91, college: Bellarmine) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Hapoel Eilat have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place. Ironi Nes-Ziona lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with Hapoel T-A. Hapoel Eilat will meet higher ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Hapoel B/S (#5) and hope to win that game.
