B League D3 top team - Koshigaya A. (11-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Kagoshima (1-11) in Renova 109-89. Koshigaya A. dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Kagoshima's 46. They outrebounded Kagoshima 41-16 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Koshigaya A. players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists (on 15-of-16 shooting from the field). His fellow American import Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida) contributed with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Point guard Atomu Yamada (179-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists and Kiichi Kawakami (188-95) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kagoshima. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Koshigaya A.. They maintain first place with 11-1 record, which they share with Tokyo Excel. Kagoshima lost their fifth game in a row.
