There was no surprise when 12th ranked Valmontone (1-4) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Deco (6-1) 79-67 on Sunday. Guard Leonardo Ciribeni (190-92) fired 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Giorgio Galipo (175-99) chipped in 14 points. Four Deco players scored in double figures. Guard Daniele Grilli (190-87) produced 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (208-82, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Valmontone's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Deco moved-up to second place in B. Loser Valmontone keeps the twelfth position with four games lost. Deco will face Capo d'Orlando (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Valmontone will play against Viola RC in Reggio Calabria and hope to win that game.
