There was a minor upset when 4th placed Alba (4-3) was edged at home by eleventh ranked Gessi Valsesia (4-3) 77-76 on Sunday. Point guard Renato Quartuccio (182-94) fired 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kevin Brigato (194-98, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points. Power forward Giacomo DellAgnello (200-94) produced 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Diego Terenzi (190-95) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Alba's coach Luca Jacomuzzi tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gessi Valsesia moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Alba. Gessi Valsesia will face Mamy.eu Oleggio (#8) at home in the next round.
