Regular Season Round 15: Cyberdyne IR - Toyotsu FE 82-89

The most interesting game of round 15 in the B2 League was a home defeat of second-best Cyberdyne IR (10-5) to second ranked Toyotsu FE (11-4) 89-82 in the game for the second place. It ended the three-game winning streak of Cyberdyne IR. Toyotsu FE made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Cherif Sow (201-92) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four Toyotsu FE players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Scootie Randall (198-90, college: Temple) with 36 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyotsu FE maintains second place with 11-4 record behind leader Shinshu BW, which they share with Kumamoto V. Cyberdyne IR at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Shimane SM. Toyotsu FE will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cyberdyne IR will play on the road against Tokyo HT and is hoping to win this game.
