Regular Season Round 8: Quart - Igualada 71-68

Round 8 in EBA means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Quart where host Quart (7-1) edged league's leader Igualada (7-1) 71-68 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Igualada. It was a key game for the top position in Group C-A. The best player for the winners was guard Jordi Bataller (193-86) who scored 13 points. Point guard Pau Vila (190-90) chipped in 4 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Eduard Burges (189-90) produced 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Sergi Carrion (180-97) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Quart have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group C-A leader, which they share with defeated Igualada. Igualada will play next round against Olivar trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Quart will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Valls Nutrion on the road.
