Regular Season Round 10: Shanghai S. - Beijing Dragons 136-137

The most exciting game of round 10 in the CBA took place in Shanghai. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of much higher ranked Sharks (7-3) to seventeenth ranked Fly Dragons (3-7) 137-136 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Fly Dragons shot the lights out from three sinking 25 long-distance shots on high 51.0 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Pierre Jackson (180-91, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording 63 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import forward Shavlik Randolph (208-83, college: Duke) contributed with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Fly Dragons players scored in double figures. American point guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) replied with 75 points (!!!), 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and Argentinian-Spanish power forward Luis Scola (206-80) added 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Sharks. Sharks' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Fly Dragons moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Sichuan BW and Bayi R. Sharks at the other side keep the second position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Fly Dragons is looking forward to face higher ranked Sturgeons (#10) in Jinjiang in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sharks will play on the road against Golden Stars (#9) in Jinan and are hoping to win this game.
