Regular Season Round 15: Fukushima - Kumamoto V. 77-84

The game in Fukushima was also quite interesting. Second ranked Kumamoto V. (11-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Fukushima (5-10). Kumamoto V. managed to secure a 7-point victory 84-77 on Sunday. Kumamoto V. made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Dutch-Australian power forward Josh Duinker (209-89, college: Richmond) helped adding 25 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Fukushima players scored in double figures. Kumamoto V. maintains second place with 11-4 record behind leader Shinshu BW, which they share with Toyotsu FE. Loser Fukushima keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Kumamoto V. will have a break next round. Fukushima will play on the road against the league's leader Shinshu BW (#1) in Nagano and hope to win that game.
