Regular Season Round 15: Kanazawa Sam. - Shimane SM 73-100

The game between Top Four teams took place in Ishikawa. 4th placed host Kanazawa Sam. (4-11) was smashed by third ranked Shimane Magic (10-5) 100-73. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa Sam.'s 38. They outrebounded Kanazawa Sam. 38-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Shimane Magic's coach Yukinori Suzuki felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Denzel Bowles (208-89, college: JMU) who recorded 22 points and 7 rebounds and guard Ryunosuke Yanagawa (187-91) added 22 points respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Shimane Magic. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cyberdyne IR. Loser Kanazawa Sam. keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ehime OV and Nishinomiya S.. Shimane Magic will meet Nishinomiya S. (#5) in the next round. Kanazawa Sam. will play against Orange Vikings in Matsuyama and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
