The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Aomori Watts' (6-9) road victory over 6th ranked Tokyo HT (3-12) 94-82 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American forward Cullen Russo (206-94, college: Fresno St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Keisuke Aita (182-95) helped adding 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 13 rebounds and guard Hiroya Ogane (180-89) scored 15 points and 6 assists. Five Aomori Watts and four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Aomori Watts. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Yamagata. Tokyo HT lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Aomori Watts will face Kagawa FA (#5) in Takamatsu in the next round. Tokyo HT will play at home against the league's second-placed Cyberdyne IR and hope to win that game.
