Regular Season Round 6: Cedevita - Skrljevo 86-79

Undefeated leader Cedevita delivered the sixth consecutive victory. This time they beat 11th ranked KK Skrljevo (1-5) 86-79 in Zagreb. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 29-12. But KK Skrljevo won second period 23-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cedevita won last quarter 27-22. 28 personal fouls committed by KK Skrljevo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International swingman Domagoj Bosnjak (200-95) notched 22 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and American Tyler Wideman (203-95, college: Butler) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Cedevita players scored in double figures. Cedevita's coach Slaven Rimac used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 19 points by American guard Ash Yacoubou (193-92, college: St.Louis) did not help to save the game for KK Skrljevo. Power forward Stipe Krstanovic (205-93, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 7 points and 14 rebounds. Cedevita (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. KK Skrljevo at the other side keeps the eleventh place with five games lost. Cedevita's next round opponent will be Sibenik (#9) on the road and are hoping to win another game. KK Skrljevo will play against KK Zabok and hope to win that game.
