Very predictable result when fourth ranked Polpharma (5-1) rolled over 10th ranked Start (2-4) in Starogard Gdanski 96-77 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Polpharma made 8 blocks. It was a good game for American forward Adam Kemp (208-90, college: Marist) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 7 blocks. The other American import point guard Justin Bibbins (173-96, college: Utah) contributed with 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Michael Gospodarek (186-91, agency: BeoExcell) replied with 22 points and American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) added 20 points in the effort for Start. Five Polpharma and four Start players scored in double figures. Start's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Polpharma have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Polski Cukier and BM Slam Stal. Loser Start keeps the tenth position with four games lost. Polpharma will face league's second-placed BM Slam Stal in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Start will play at home against AZS Koszalin (#16) and hope to win that game.
